Shaping the Future: Bozhon Participates in the Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Conference

On May 31, 2018, the 2018 (4th) Suzhou International Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Conference was held in Wujiang. As a representative enterprise from Wujiang, Bozhon participated in the conference with its interactive robots and NEXT O5 (an omnidirectional mobile robot standard platform).

The conference was attended by nearly 50 national experts from the Thousand Talents Plan, renowned entrepreneurs, experts and professors from universities and institutes across the country, representatives from industry associations, investment institutions, headhunting companies, and outstanding enterprises from Wujiang. Together, they shared in the technological feast, jointly promoting the high-end development of intelligent manufacturing and related industries. Li Ming, Deputy Secretary of the Wujiang District Committee and Mayor of Wujiang District People's Government, Wang Xiang, member of the Standing Committee of Suzhou Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Suzhou, and other leaders attended the event.

Wang Xiang stated that Suzhou is currently focusing on high-quality development requirements, with intelligent manufacturing as the main direction of attack, accelerating the construction of an advanced manufacturing base with international competitiveness. By promoting deep cooperation between local enterprises and major institutes, vigorously cultivating intelligent manufacturing system integrators and technical service providers, and guiding financial capital to focus on the field of intelligent manufacturing. At the same time, leveraging the leading and exemplary role of leading enterprises, consolidating foundations, nurturing supports, clearing blockages, and highlighting bright spots, continuously improving the intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.

At this conference, Bozhon showcased two robots. In the exhibition hall, the audience joyfully interacted with the reception robot, Xiao Bo. Xiao Bo is equipped with facial recognition and a flexible gesture interaction system, capable of providing customers with high-quality services such as chatting, touring, and giving directions. Its intelligent interaction system can offer customers more standardized reception and more professional explanations; its smart home management system can intelligently adjust various smart home devices for customers. NEXT O5 is an omnidirectional mobile robot standard platform. When a user holds the follow handle, NEXT O5 will automatically avoid obstacles and follow the user's movements. It uses an omnidirectional chassis that can move in any direction and offers modular design and rich interfaces, allowing the upper layer to support a variety of functions.

Audience Interacts with Xiao Bo

As a new highland for the development of the southern new district and industries in Suzhou, Wujiang possesses distinct advantages with its developed private economy, rich innovation atmosphere, and early start in intelligent manufacturing. Over the past three years, focusing on the positioning of "establishing the district with advanced manufacturing and revitalizing the district with modern services," Wujiang has implemented and completed the "155" plan for intelligent industry, establishing 105 intelligent industrial demonstration enterprises and 502 pilot enterprises, driving more than 5,000 action enterprises. It has 51 provincial-level intelligent workshops, introduced more than 4,000 industrial robots, and the density of industrial robots in the region is nearly 90 units per 10,000 people, significantly exceeding the national average, placing the overall development level of intelligent industry at the forefront of the province.

This conference featured an opening ceremony and seven forums and events, including the "Artificial Intelligence Opens the Door to a Smart Future Prospective Forum," "Intelligent Equipment and Future Manufacturing Summit Forum," "Semiconductor Industry Intelligence and Future Development Summit Forum," "Intelligent Manufacturing and Smart Park Forum," "Intelligent Equipment Project Roadshow Matchmaking," "New Semiconductor Project Roadshow Matchmaking," and "Suzhou Bay Talent Fair Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Manufacturing Session." At the opening ceremony, the artificial intelligence talent map was released, and the "Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (Wujiang) International Innovation Eco-Port" was unveiled. On-site signings included projects such as UTH International's new multilingual information recognition technology R&D base, new energy intelligent vehicle control systems, precision bearing intelligent manufacturing technology collaborative innovation center, finite element model analysis research of metal packaging container forming process, and the joint R&D center for intelligent cloud BIM technology construction application.
