Recently, a signing ceremony between Bozhon Precision Machinery and the Turkish lithium battery company JSNE (referred to as J.S) was grandly held simultaneously in Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, and Suzhou, China. Attendees of the signing ceremony included Mr. Hani, the head of the China Science and Technology Products Exhibition Center (Istanbul), which facilitated the strategic cooperation between the two parties, Mr. HAMZA, the Director of the New Energy Department at J.S, Mr. Jiang Jian, the Vice President of Bozhon Precision Machinery, and the project-related responsible team.
The strategic cooperation initiated by both parties falls under the service model of “exporting complete sets of technology equipment through independent innovation.” J.S will purchase lithium battery production lines worth 800 million yuan from the company, mainly provided by Bozhon Precision Machinery, including comprehensive lithium battery production automation equipment and digital production line construction, as well as complete production equipment and technology for energy storage products.
This time, the full production line equipment provided by Bozhon Precision Machinery includes mixing and slurry making equipment, coating machines, roller presses, slitting machines, die-cutting machines, stacking machines, assembly lines, formation and grading equipment, and module pack lines, etc. It can realize the production of batteries from raw materials to finished products in one line. The products can be used in new energy buses and personal vehicles, marking the first lithium battery production line of a domestic brand in Turkey; meanwhile, the energy storage products are mainly used in power stations and as backup power sources. As the lithium battery production represents the advanced manufacturing industry, the completion and operation of this project will greatly promote the development of the lithium battery industry in Turkey, fill the industry gap, and promote the broader comprehensive use of clean energy.
According to relevant information, Turkey's unique geographical advantages and the changes in the geopolitical landscape of its surrounding regions in recent years have earned it the reputation of being an “energy hub” or “energy corridor” that connects the East and West. At the "Ford Motor Company's Future Vision" meeting held at the Presidential Complex on March 16, 2021, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan further emphasized: "Our goal is to become a leader in Europe and one of the top five countries in the world in the production of electric and autonomous commercial vehicles within the next 10 years." Erdoğan also announced his determination to make Turkey one of the world's important battery manufacturing centers, encouraging such investments on one hand and developing local brands on the other, aiming to create a competitive atmosphere domestically. The government has provided various incentives to the private sector, making it the engine of national development.
Therefore, Turkey has elevated the cultivation of domestic battery manufacturing brands to its national strategy. The strategic cooperation between Bozhon Precision Machinery and the Turkish lithium battery company J.S is timely in this context.
