The IVSM2019 International Vision Standards Meeting Was Held for the First Time in China at Broaden

From March 25th to 29th, 2019, the IVSM2019 International Vision Standards Meeting was successfully held at Broaden. Over a hundred engineers from both domestic and international backgrounds gathered to discuss and establish more scientific and reasonable international standards. The conference was organized by the China Machine Vision Industry Alliance, hosted by Broaden, and co-organized by the National Committee for Optoelectronic Measurement Standardization Technology of the Institute of Optics and Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The opening ceremony of the conference was held on March 25th at Broaden Technology Park. Attendees included Fan Jianlong, the Standing Committee Member and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Wujiang District, Pan Jin, the Chairman of the China Machine Vision Industry Alliance, and Lü Shaolin, the Chairman of Broaden Precision Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., all of whom delivered speeches.

Fan Jianlong, the Standing Committee Member and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Wujiang District, extended a warm welcome to the organizers and participants who had traveled from afar. This conference, being held in China for the first time and hosted by the local enterprise Broaden in the Wujiang Development Zone, not only fully affirms the achievements Broaden has made in the field of machine vision but also promotes the exchange and cooperation between China and the world in machine vision technology. In conclusion, he sincerely hoped that all experts and association members would fully communicate and unleash their wisdom during the conference, jointly pushing for faster and better development in global machine vision technology and standardization. He also welcomed well-known domestic and international enterprises to invest and start businesses, aiming to create a win-win future through cooperation.

Subsequently, Pan Jin, the Chairman of the China Machine Vision Industry Alliance, spoke: "The hosting of IVSM in China for the first time has set a model for standard construction, which will further promote the healthy development of the CVSM standard. At the same time, CVSM will better integrate into the formulation of international standards, contributing China's strength to the G3 organization."

Finally, Lü Shaolin, the Chairman of Broaden Precision Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech: "It is a great honor for Broaden to host the IVSM in China for the first time. Machine vision is an important part of industrial automation and intelligence. In recent years, China's machine vision has been in a stage of rapid development. As an outstanding practitioner of intelligent manufacturing in China, Broaden has always been contributing to the development and advancement of machine vision in China. Broaden accounts for 1% of the total usage of vision components in the entire Chinese market each year, practicing its support and development for the vision field with real actions. It is both an honor and a responsibility for Broaden to create such a platform for global machine vision practitioners to exchange and learn together with the organizer IVSM. We hope that through this conference, everyone can collide with more cooperation opportunities."

The conference lasted for 5 days, during which domestic and international vision experts engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as the GenICam control standard, embedded vision standards, international vision standard training, USB3Vision interface standard, and OPCVision standard. Beyond the conference, Broaden also invited attendees to visit the Broaden Smart Experience Hall, Broaden's digital machining factory, and the Tongli scenic area, providing a comfortable and pleasant experience for everyone.

Through the discussions and exchanges on the topics of the conference, IVSM will develop more scientific and reasonable international standards, which will play a crucial role in the application of machine vision technology across the entire industry. Broaden will continue to work with IVSM and outstanding vision companies both domestically and internationally to promote the standardized and normative development of the global vision industry, thereby aiding the progress of global intelligent manufacturing!
